Renters Beware, In Utah You Are Not Very Protected If Your Landlord Defaults On The Mortgagee

In the State of Utah if you are a renter and you pay your rent, but the Landlord does not pay the mortgage. You are just out of luck. You have no right to not pay your rent to them. They have no need by law to let you know that they are in Default on the mortgage. You could get the bank knocking on your door saying that you need to leave in two weeks.

You could be homeless even if you pay your rent on time and every month. Some other states have laws to protect the renter, but not Utah. So RENTERS BEWARE, in these difficult times you might be homeless.

We would like to hear your comments.
